Phase 3
This phase teaches many graphemes which have two letters eg oa. The children continue blending the sounds together (b, oa, t makes boat) and segmenting to spell these words eg boat is b, oa, t. The children will also be taught further tricky words which do not follow the phonic patterns they have been learning.
