Thank you for looking at our Reception Class page. Below you will find any additional information you may need to help your child in Reception. We look forward to teaching your child and to meeting all of our wonderful supportive parents. Thank you! Reception class staff
Reception Classroom Information
School start and finish Times
The doors open at school at 8.50am lessons begin at 8.55am. School finishes at 3:15pm. Breakfast club is available every day from 8am for £1 per day.
Homework & Reading Books
Homework and reading books are sent home every Friday and must be returned to school on Monday. Please use the home school diary to share any news about the weekend as well as completing any homework with your child.
P.E.
Physical Education is a vital part of our curriculum. We do PE every Thursday. We also do dance on a Friday. Please make sure PE kits are in school at all times, including green shorts, white polo shirt or T shirt and black pumps. Please make sure all items of clothing are labelled with your child's name.
Lunch
Lunch is from 12.00 - 1.15. Lunch is currently free for children in Reception to Year two.
Additional Class Information
Reception will visit our 'forest'. Please make sure wellington boots are in school each week.
Parents sign up to seesaw to help encourage communication with school and find out what we are learning about in class.
Individual children are rewarded with stickers for good work and behaviour. One child will be chosen each day to be star of the day and one child each week will be chosen to be star of the week.
